Vespa Granturismo 200L

The new generation of Vespa is here, the Granturismo 200L.

The two stroke engine with minimal moving parts isreplaced with a cleaner 198cc, four valve motor with a CV carburettor.

The new motor is a bit slow when it is cold, but let it idle for a while and you are ready to go.
The chassis hasn’t changed much, but the brakes are up to date. It has a 220mm disc on both sides in front and as usual the rear brake is stronger than the front. You can expect to come to a stand still quicker than expected. It is also astonishingly stable when braking.

The cubby-hole is opened by pressing the ignition switch and when opened you’ll find that it is completely carpeted, which means that there will be no more scuff marks on your cell phone. The under-seat storage is a bit small for a full-face helmet, but spacious enough for everyday groceries. It has no lock, but is opened with a button located on the inside of the leg shield. Both storage compartments are locked when you lock the steering.

The Vespa Granturismo 200L is commuting at its best.
